Mitra Sen Dahal, a social worker, died at the age of 58 at Om Hospital in Kathmandu on Friday morning. Social worker Dahal was rushed to Om Hospital for treatment after he developed health problems at his residence in Kapan in morning.
Former MP Ram Hari Khatiwada informed that he passed away at 9 in the morning. After receiving both kidney transplants, Social worker Dahal did a new and exemplary job in the field of social service in latter part of his life by building a friendly ashram for senior citizens at Lapse Fedi.
A well-equipped ashram has been constructed there and senior citizens who have reached the age of 60 can stay there. Late Dahal was its main person.
Dahal was also involved in Nepali Congress politics for a long time. Social worker Dahal had become the candidate from Okhaldhunga constituency number one in 2074 BS election. Social worker Dahal has wife, two sons and a daughter.
