CPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has warned that there will be a big agitation including siege of Singha Durbar and Baluwatar if Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is still resisting.
Addressing a protest rally in Kathmandu on Wednesday against the dissolution of House of Representatives, Prachanda said that a large public meeting would be held at Baluwatar and Singha Durbar if necessary as the people understood the character of KP Oli who was killing regression, autocracy and democracy.
CPN (Maoist) Chairman Prachanda said that while he was on the stage, he received an SMS with 500,000 participants in the meeting, adding that he did not have an estimate.
Chairman Prachanda said that meeting held by KP Oli group in front of Narayanhiti Durbar Museum on February 5 was not encouraging even though entire state treasury was misused.
Chairman Prachanda warned Election Commission not to listen to the voice of party which has a 70 percent majority but not to show any hesitation after receiving threats from KP Oli. Chairman Prachanda also urged Election Commission to take a decision in a lawful manner.
Chairman Prachanda also urged party Congress, which has led the country to bring democracy, draft the constitution and move the country forward in republic and federalism, not to be lost in the assassination of constitution drafted under its own leadership.
Similarly, CPN-Prachanda-Nepal Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal said that Prime Minister Oli was trying to influence Election Commission.
Stating that he was fighting for democracy as per the wishes of Nepali people and trying to give justice and prosperity to the people, Chairman Prachanda urged officials of the commission not to fall under the influence of government. Chairman Prachanda said that Election Commission and the Supreme Court would rule in favor of country and people.
CPN-Prachanda-Nepal senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal said that KP Oli had been defeated politically and ideologically. According to Khanal, current battle is not against the two factions of CPN (Maoist) but against Oli's reactionary move.
Stating that CPN (Maoist) would rest only after concluding current agitation, Khanal urged Congress and JSP to join the joint agitation. Leader Khanal also claimed that Oli's bail would be forfeited in the election to be held in two years.
