Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that pressure should not be exerted as the issue of dissolving House of Representatives is under consideration in the Supreme Court.
Speaking at a program organized by party's Central Department of Adivasi Janajati in Kathmandu on Thursday, Deuba said that the court should not be pressured by chanting slogans at the rally.
Stating that Nepali Congress is a democratic party that believes in election, Deuba expressed the view that parliament should be ready for both restoration and election.
Recalling that he had deliberately lost the election, Deuba argued that election would be held in a country two years later. Deuba said that democratic party should always be ready for elections.
Deuba also instructed leaders and cadres to spread awareness about the inclusive arrangements made by party at grassroots level of all communities and create an atmosphere in favor of Nepali Congress.
Similarly, party vice-president Bimalendra Nidhi said that House of Representatives, which was snatched away against the provisions of constitution, should be reclaimed.
Joint General Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said that parliament should come soon in case House of Representatives is dissolved. Similarly, other participants expressed their views on the inclusive arrangements made on the issue of Adivasi Janajati and its relationship with the party.
