Madan Sundar Shrestha, Chief of the municipality, informed that the heritage walk was held on January 1, 2021 BS with the objective of promoting tourism by showing the historical, cultural, religious and lively art of Madhyapurthimi Municipality.
He said that after the arrival of the new people's representative in the municipality, reconstruction, restoration and construction of the heritage will be done through a walk and on the basis of that, it will be decided whether Thimi will be declared a tourist destination or not. Similarly, all the pavilions, ponds, temples, parks, stone fountains, sattals will be to observe constructed in between the walk.
On the basis of Sampada Padayatra, people's representatives of the municipality, Nepal Tourism Board, Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) and Trekking Agency Association of Nepal (TAN) are participating in the Sampada Yatra to observe and declare it as a tourist destination, said Chief Shrestha.
The three-hour long trek Sampada Padayatra started with dimey baja and flute from Shankhadhar Chowk in Madhyapurthimi and ended at Dyoh Square in Bode observing various heritages.
