Lama Zopa Rinpoche. Khen Rinpoche Geshe Chonyi and Lama Gyupas blessed the lifeforce trees, mantras, texts and holy substances.
These will go inside the precious stupa of Khensur Rinpoche Lama Lhundrup at Kopan Nunnery. Total of four lifeforce trees were blessed during the ritual.
Khensur Lama Lhundrup was born in 1940. He tirelessly offered his service to accomplish the wishes of Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
Lama Lhundrup was abbot of Kopan from the late seventies, when Lama Yeshe gave him the responsibility to look after Kopan and develop it, till his death in 2011.
He taught thousands of students, took care of the monks and nuns of Kopan as well as international Dharma students. In January 2011, he received a diagnosis of advanced stomach cancer. Thus, he stepped down as abbot of Kopan. This cancer ultimately caused his death.
In a Memorial of Khensur Lama Lhundrup Stupa was built. Lama Zopa Rinpoche advised building a 1000 Buddha Relic Stupa in Kopan Monastery After Lama Lhundrup's passing.
The stupa was dedicated for the quick return of the Lama Lhundrup’s incarnation. This stupa was completed and was consecrated in May 2013, by Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Dagri Rinpoche. Lama Zopa Rinpoche also advised to build a large Mahabodhi style stupa at Khachoe Ghakyil Ling Nunnery.
As per The pre-plans for large Mahabodhi style stupa procedure has begun. This stupa at Khachoe Ghakyil Ling Nunnery is 65 feet high and is still being built.

This is a Buddhist nunnery in the Tibetan Gelug tradition. Project is now open for donations to all students and friends.
