Dave Whatmore, the head coach of the Nepali national cricket team, has said that his focus will be on improving the rankings of the Nepali team.
In an interaction with media persons in Kathmandu on Thursday, he said that his experience would be focused on the development of Nepali cricket and improving the rankings of the Nepali team. He says the main goal will be to improve the ranking of ODI cricket.
Whatmore argued that he came to Nepal by accepting the challenge. He responded that not only to play the team in a year, but also to win now.
The Nepal Cricket Association (NCA) had appointed Whatmore as the head coach for one year on December 20.
CAN has appointed Whatmore as its head coach through open competition. Whatmore, the Sri Lankan-born Australian coach, helped Sri Lanka win the World Cup in 1996.
