Secret Hayagriva tsog kong puja is being offered at Kopan Monastery in Nepal. Khen Rinpoche Geshe Chonyi, Lama Gyupas and senior monks of Kopan Monastery as well as Lama Zopa Rinpoche attended this Most Secret Hayagriva Tsog Kong.
The Most Secret Hayagriva puja also known as Tamdrin tsog kong in Tibetan is a unique event appreciated by many members and benefactors because of its benefits.
It is performed according to its lineage, established through Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Khen Rinpoche Geshe Chonyi.
Ceremony lasts all-day where elaborate offerings including numerous decorative tormas or rituals offering cakes, medicinal nectar bowls and tsog offerings are presented.
The prayers include extensive confession, as well as offerings and requests to various Dharma protectors for their swift enlightened activity.
Following the advice of Rangjung Neljorma Khadro Namsel Drolma, this puja is conducted for dispelling obstacles and for the benefit of all beings.
Most Secret Hayagriva is the wrathful manifestation of Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion.
Praying to Hayagriva is a swift and powerful means to overcome negative forces and obstacles including those harms caused by spirits.
Prayers to the Hayagriva are especially beneficial in these degenerate times when sufferings and illnesses are uncontrolled. As a manifestation of Chenresig, the practice of Most Secret Hayagriva helps to develop compassion. This puja is very powerful for generating merit as well. This deity is one of the main protectors of Dharma.
The Hayagriva tsog kong is powerful against obstacles created by nagas such as cancer, leprosy and skin diseases. Further, landlord spirits which manifest as paralysis and epilepsy which is connected to spirit harm is also subdued by this puja. Relying on this practice obstacles such as these gets dispels .
This is an all-day puja with an elaborate torma offering and extensive prayers and meditation. Tormas were made by the Kopan Lamas and offered in the puja.
This fourth Hayagriva tsog kong is dedicated to Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s long life, the removal of obstacles and creation of merit for the entire sangha. This year puja is especially dedicated to the end of the coronavirus pandemic.
An addition, this puja was dedicated for the health and success of the entire sangha, organization and for a number of individuals and geshes who were specifically advised to have this puja done for life obstacles.
