The main opposition Nepali Congress has announced a second phase of agitation against the dissolution of the parliament.
A meeting of the Congress Central Working Committee held at the party office Sanepa on Sunday concluded that the party was still in the Congress movement, said spokesperson Bishwaprakash Sharma.
The meeting has decided that the Congress will hold demonstrations in 330 state assembly constituencies on January 9 and in all 753 local levels on January 15, said spokesperson Sharma. Similarly, the meeting has decided to hold protest rallies in all wards on January 25.
Spokesperson Sharma said that there was no dispute over the issue of joining the Congress movement. The meeting has approved the report prepared by the formation committee for party integration.
Spokesperson Sharma informed that leaders from other parties have been managed as per the report. He said that the meeting has fixed the date of submission of active membership of the party till mid-January.
The Congress has instructed the fraternal and well-wishers and the district working committees to carry out street struggle programs without interfering with the Centre's program.
