‘Searcher Reaches Land’s Limits’ is a commentary on Tarthang Rinpoche’s book ‘Revelations of Mind’.
We know that the mind plays a critical role in our daily life experience. But how far do we know what mind is? how it functions and what changes might be possible?
How is our ordinary consciousness constructed? Why is internal chatter and stress such a central part of our experience?
Richard Dixey will lead this six-week class that covers the first section of the commentary.
Richard is a PhD from London University, an M.A. Richard has been a student of Buddhism since 1972 and has travelled extensively in the Himalayas, India and Southeast Asia. He is currently an advisor to the Khyentse Foundation.
The commentary by Richard Dixey illuminates perspectives for exploring this crucial aspect of our well-being.
This commentary engages the reader in an open, non-dogmatic inquiry with practical, philosophical, scientific, and meditative dimensions.
Further, it infuses Western understandings of the science of perception, psychology as well as Buddhist thought. This inspires the reader to engage in their journey of self-exploration.
The course will explore the structure of perception, the role language plays in self and other identity, and the roots of human suffering.
This course is open to all who are interested in the nature of mind and experience. Teachings will be Live on zoom and recording will be available for all registrants.
Talk is being organised by Dharma College, Berkeley, CA from the United States.
