Ancient Buddhist wealth exists in Salbardi,Betul, Madhya Pradesh. Ancient Buddhist treasure exists in the village Salbardi under the Multai Tehsil Prabhatpattan district of Betul district.
Indian Archeology. There are caves which were later occupied by Mahayana Buddhists, inita;lly built by Hinayana Buddhists. It is currently occupied by the Mahanubhav community. Salbardi has an ancient Buddhist cave.
There is an artwork of Buddha seated on a lotus in the sanctum of a cave. Buddha's face of the image is badly damaged. There also is a statue of Padmapani and Vajrapani Buddha in Salbardi.
Among Two more Buddhist caves Of which a Buddhist cave is fully developed and another Buddhist cave is incomplete.
According to modern Maharashtra historians these three caves are from the 5th century. Buddhist built on the banks of river Mandu in Satpura mountain range on the border of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh which is 8 km east of Morshi tehsil 60 km north of Amravati.

There is a beautiful and enchanting waterfall at a distance of 5 km near Salbardi. Millions of people visit it every year.
Ancient Buddhist sculptures have been made at many places on the hill near Darud village near Salbardi. Interested Researchers can do research work on ancient rock paintings.
The ancient Buddhist estate at Salbardi is a Buddhist stupa, Buddhist cave, Buddhist Vihara, sculpture, rock paintings etc. There are small Buddhist cave halls for the monks to meditate.
Site can be introduced as Buddhist tourist place. Future plan is to attract tourists from abroad. This will create opportunities for employment and business will increase.
