In an interview conducted by Reporters Club of Nepal in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Rayamajhi claimed that Oli was forced to dissolve the parliament and go to the polls for a new mandate after repeated non-cooperation from his own party and filing of a no-confidence motion.
He said that some comrades of the CPN (Maoist) had tied the hands and feet of the government in the absence of non-cooperation from the main opposition parties.
In an interview, CPN-Prachanda-Nepal leader Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel said that dissolving the parliament was against the constitution. Stating that the current constitution does not expect the dissolution of the constitution, he said that the move of the prime minister was unconstitutional.
In an interview, Congress leader Pushpa Bhushal accused the ruling CPN (Maoist) of insulting public opinion. He said that even though the CPN (Maoist) was given a two-thirds majority, it did not value the referendum.
Similarly, Laxman Lal Karna, leader of Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal, said that the government could not hold elections now.
He said that it was wrong and unacceptable to dissolve the parliament using a provision not in the constitution. He says the parliament was dissolved after the prime minister felt his own post of chairman was in risk.
