Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has claimed that there will be no election in the coming Baishakh. Bhattarai made that claim after the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, President Vidyadevi Bhandari dissolved the parliament and announcing the election date in two phases on April 30 and May 10..
"Elections are not going to be held in Baishakh," he wrote on Twitter. The country is stuck in a dark tunnel. "Even the slightest hope of constitutional / legal redressal cannot be met," he said. Instead, Bhattarai says sustainable treatment is political.
According to Bhattarai, organized, integrated, strong people's resistance and meeting of the House of Representatives is the only sustainable political remedy.
