The "Sakela Literary Festival 2077" organized by the Kirat Rai Writers' Association has started in Kathmandu on Saturday on the occasion of the great festival of the Kirat community.
Sakela poetry competition has been held in the festival which will continue till Sunday.
On the first day of the festival, senior poet and lyricist Bhupal Rai has presented his views on 'Kirat Academic Power Building' while former president of Kirat Rai Writers' Association Prakash Rai has also expressed his views on 'Population Politics in Census' on the first day.
On the second day of the festival, Mundhum scholar Bhogiraj Chamling is scheduled to conduct an in-depth analysis on the 'dignity of Sakela'. On the second day, the festival will conclude with the results of the Sakela Poetry Competition.
Sakela Literary Festival has been organized to uplift Sakela through writing.
