Newly-appointed Youth and Sports Minister Dawa Lama took office on Sunday. He also said that he would work with result-oriented planning during his tenure. Minister Lama said that he would give priority to the previous action plan of the sports sector and expected cooperation of all.
Lama, who was sworn in as a minister on Friday, reached Singha Durbar on Sunday and assumed office. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Lama said that he would play a role for the development of youth and sports sector.
Earlier, outgoing Sports Minister Jagat Bahadur Bishwakarma was bade farewell at the ministry. In the farewell program, Bishwakarma said that there is a lot of work to be done in the field of sports.
He also opined that the sports sector in Nepal has undergone more significant changes now than in the past. Secretary at the Ministry Ram Prasad Thapaliya, Member Secretary of NSC Ramesh Silwal and others bade farewell to Bishwakarma.
