New driving license exams reopening after nine months

The government is preparing to conduct the examination process for a new driving license which has been suspended for the past nine months due to corona epidemic.

The Department of Transportation Management under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport had postponed the written and trial examinations for the license with the enforcement of nationwide lockdown on March 24 as the measure to stop spreading infection of the coronavirus.

As the risk of corona virus still exists transport offices is preparing to open the application by setting a quota.

The department has ordered all offices to prepare for conducting examination. The department has said to be ready with all the health measures such as PPE, face shield, mask, sanitizer, etc. for the protection and prevention  from coronavirus infection.
