A meeting of the party's central working committee held at the party's Sanepa office on Thursday decided to protest against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's move to dissolve parliament, said spokesperson Bishwaprakash Sharma.
The Congress, which had prepared for protest in the first phase, is going to hold agitation in 165 constituencies across the country on December 27.
According to spokesperson Sharma, the focus will be on the federal constituencies across the country.
He said that the move of dissolving the House of Representatives on the recommendation of the government led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was unconstitutional and undemocratic and there is no dispute within the party for the agitation.
He also clarified that there was no difference of opinion between party president Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel on the issue of the movement.
Nepali Congress has already decided to hold a nationwide program on the occasion of National Reconciliation Day.
