The government has officially launched its efforts to import Covid-19 vaccines from India.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has submitted papers to Indian government, requesting for the supply of the vaccines against covid-19 that would fulfill the need for 20 percent of the nepalese population, according to Nepali Ambassador to India, Nilamber Acharya.
Government is preparing to use the vaccines for frontline health workers, security personnel and senior citizens. Similarly, government is also preparing to import vaccines from other countries.
