Primary Hospital located at Dudhkoshi village municipality ward no.3 Khastap Village Municipality has been inaugurated. The 15-bed hospital was inaugurated by state MP Buddhi Kumar Raj Bhandari and village chairman Buddhikiran Rai.
The hospital has been constructed with the help of the federal government by upgrading the area health post in Khastap.
The primary hospital will provide services including eye clinics to about 3,000 households in the former VDCs of Basa, Kaku, Waku, Jubing and Deus, said Buddhikiran Rai.
It is said that health services will be provided with the manpower of 15 people with the direct involvement of the doctors.
The situation where people visit to Kathmandu for treatment is finally over said Junita Magar, vice-chairperson of Mapya Dudhkoshi village municipality.
Earlier, an Ayurvedic branch was set up in the village but it could not come into operation due to lack of adequate health infrastructure and manpower.
