President Vidyadevi Bhandari has dissolved the parliament on the recommendation of the government.
A statement issued by the President's Office at Shital Niwas on Sunday said that the parliament was dissolved. Earlier on Sunday, the cabinet meeting had decided to commend to the President for the dissolvement of the parliament.
With the dissolvemnt of the parliament, President Vidyadevi Bhandari has announced the date of the House of Representatives election in two phases. According to the Office of the President, the date of the House of Representatives election has been fixed on April 30 and May 10.
