As part of the first phase of the agitation, the three top leaders of the CPN (Maoist) and former prime ministers Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal have taken to the streets on Friday.
According to the party's previously announced program, they have participated in the Maitighar Mandala demonstration along with other leaders. They were sitting on the street with a placard saying 'We are here'.
The leaders have started the agitation from the family Maitighar Mandala as per the pre-announced program of agitating against the dissolvement of the House of Representatives.
Other members of the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the disbanded House of Representatives carried placards reading "We are here."
