A meeting of the Prachanda-Nepal parliamentary party held at the Parliament House, New Baneshwor, removed the previous party leader KP Oli and elected Prachanda as the leader of the party's parliamentary party, said leader Dev Gurung.
In the meeting, Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal had proposed to make another Chairman Prachanda the leader of the parliamentary party. In the meeting, Gurung has submitted a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for approval.
After the meeting, Gurung said that the dissolvement of the parliament was against the constitution and the court would take a positive decision. Similarly, he said that in the case of the state government, they are autonomous and the right to make necessary decisions belongs to the state.
The meeting was attended by 115 MPs from both the houses. Earlier, the central committee meeting of the Prachanda-Madhav group had removed KP Sharma Oli from the post of chairman and elected Madhav Kumar Nepal as the new chairman.
