The ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has decided to discuss the proposal of Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda in the standing committee.
A meeting of the CPN (Maoist) Secretariat held in Baluwatar on Saturday decided to submit the proposal of both the chairpersons to the standing committee and reached to conclusion.
After the meeting, CPN (Maoist) spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that the standing committeewould meet at the party office in Dhumbarahi on Sunday at 1 pm.
He informed that other proposals submitted to the secretariat will also be discussed. He said that the party had positively discussed the dispute in the secretariat meeting but no conclusion could be reached.
Oli and Prachanda had a discussion in Baluwatar before Saturday's secretariat meeting. Spokesperson Shrestha informed that the discussions between the chairpersons could not solve the problem.
In the debate within the CPN (Maoist), Prime Minister Oli, including Chairman Prachanda, is in favor of resigning from one of the two posts, while Oli's party has been refusing to do so. The CPN (Maoist) dispute has escalated due to the written allegations between the two presidents.
