The long-abandoned road of Balaju-Kakani-Ranipowwa route has started blacktoping. Controversial contractor Sharda Prasad Adhikari's Shailung Construction has started blacktoping on the Mudkhu-Tinpiple section of the road connecting Kathmandu and Nuwakot from Monday.
Minister of State for Urban Development Ram Bir Manandhar monitored the road on Monday. Minister of State Manandhar said that the blacktoping was started after the officer constantly pointed out the construction of the road.
Manandhar informed that blacktoping of road towards Kathmandu district will be completed within this month. He also claimed that the construction of physical development projects including roads across the country would now move up speedily.
As construction work was delaying, a team including Nuwakot Federal MP Narayan Khatiwada had held discussions with Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Basanta Nemwang and Minister of State Manandhar.
