Famous Indian film star Rajinikanth has announced to open a new party. Rajinikanth, who is especially popular in Tamil cinema, announced on Thursday that he is going to open a new party.
Rajinikanth also said that official announcement of the party will be made on December 31. On the eve of Tamil Nadu elections, Rajinikanth said he would open a party and go to the polls.
"We are about to announce the formation of a new political party. It will start functioning by registering in January. We will work very hard through that," said Rajinikanth.
According to the information Rajinikanth gave through social network Twitter, Rajinikanth had consulted many people before reaching the decision to open the party.
"I have had discussions with various people time and time again. I have decided to open a party based on their suggestions," said Rajinikanth. Artist Rajinikanth mentioned that he has gained trust and support of many to help him.
Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Tamil Nadu from April to May 2021.
