As many as 6,280 foreigners came to Nepal in the past five months amid Covid-19 crisis. Most of them are tourists.
Although around 100,000 foreigners would visit Nepal every month on average in the past years, the country’s tourism industry has been badly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic this year.
In this period, 154,221 Nepalis came back to their homeland and 89,890 left the country for various destinations via the Tribhuvan International Airport, the only international airport in the country, according to the department.
