Reconstruction work to be completed in two years

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has said that government will protect and develop historic religious area. Minister Bhattarai said that cultural and religious heritage damaged by earthquake would be rebuilt within two years.

Inaugurating the entrance of Shree Chatuvyuh Narayan Temple in Narayanhiti, Kathmandu on Thursday, Minister Bhattarai said that temples around historical religious site would be protected.

Minister Bhattarai said that most of the areas including Ranipokhari, Durbar High School, Patan and Pashupati area have been reconstructed.

Stating that cultural and religious heritage is a symbol of human civilization, Minister Bhattarai said that temples and monasteries would be properly protected.

Stating that there is a lot of potential for religious tourists in Nepal, Minister Bhattarai said that government would give priority to this sector.

Minister Bhattarai informed that cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided to open religious area. Minister Bhattarai opined that people's lives should be made easier even among corona in Nepal.

On the occasion, Congress leader Gagan Thapa said that religious tourism should be promoted by developing religious sector.
