Ranipokhari open for two days during this year's festival

Balgopaleshwar temple in Ranipokhari has been opened for two days during this year's festival. Balgopaleshwar temple at Ranipokhari in Kathmandu was opened on Tuesday after some groups of Newar community wore Bhaitika.

Earlier, Balgopaleshwar temple was opened on Monday on the occasion of Bhaitika. Temple was open to the public only on the day of Bhaitika, one day of the year.

It is customary for brothers and sisters who do not have sisters to worship at Balgopaleshwar temple. This time, temple has been open for two days after tika on Monday and Tuesday.

Temple was closed for five years after it was damaged by an earthquake in 2072 BS. But now that reconstruction has been completed, festival is open to the public for Bhaitika.
