Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has said that government is working to uplift tourism sector affected by Corona.
Speaking at a program organized at Tourism Board on Wednesday on the impact of Corona on tourism sector, Minister Bhattarai said that government was working to uplift tourism sector in Corona.
Minister Bhattarai said that increase in the number of tourists visiting Nepal after announcement of international flights was a positive sign.
Minister Bhattarai argued that number of domestic tourists has been increasing with the increase in domestic flights in Nepal.
Stating that almost all types of tourism activities have been opened in current situation, Minister Bhattarai said that government has a plan to gradually open remaining tourist services.
Minister Bhattarai informed that government is now preparing to bring a new strategy for tourism sector.
Minister Bhattarai stressed on the need for cooperation between government and private sector as tourism sector is very important for the development of country. People involved in tourism sector said that government should help in the impact of Corona.
