Meeting of Nepali Congress office bearers and former office bearers has moved ahead with discussion to end disputes within party even before Central Committee meeting.

Leader Gagan Thapa informed that leaders were continuing to express their views on 16-point disagreement tabled by 27 central members including senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel at a meeting held at the residence of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba in Budhanikantha on Saturday.

Thapa said that a meeting of office bearers and former office bearers would be held on Sunday to resolve disputes over the formation of department, distribution of active membership, integration of leaders and cadres from other parties and tenure of fraternal organization.

Meeting of Central Working Committee has been postponed to November 8 for consensus. According to leaders present at meeting, Poudel faction has been insisting that their demands should be met at any cost, while Deuba faction has requested Poudel faction to name those who want to participate in department.
