Discussion on secretariat meeting between CPN leaders

Five members of Secretariat, including Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, have made a written request to another Chairman KP Oli, including Prime Minister, to convene a meeting of Secretariat immediately.

A meeting was held with Chairman Oli in Baluwatar on Saturday. Secretariat member and spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that a written request was made with the conclusion that meeting was indispensable to reach a conclusion on the problems seen within party and current political situation.

Spokesperson Shrestha said that a written request has been made to convene a meeting of the secretariat immediately to address the crisis created by Corana, review the situation where implementation process of the decisions made by t standing committee has not progressed and discuss the crisis in party.

According to spokesperson, Chairman Oli did not give any conclusion about the meeting. Spokesperson Shrestha stressed on the need to unite party, run party on the basis of method and system and create a situation where everyone agrees with party's decision.

CPN (Maoist) executive chairman Prachanda, senior leader Madhav Nepal, Jhala Nath Khanal, vice-chairman Bamdev Gautam and spokesperson Shrestha have demanded an immediate meeting.

They discussed latest controversy at party office in Dhumbarahi on Friday and Saturday and decided to request Chairman Oli to convene a meeting. There has been a dispute within CPN (Maoist) over the running of party and government.
