Demanding the life of Dr. Govinda KC, the agitating doctors have stopped the services of the hospitals except emergency and Covid.
At the call of Nepal Medical Association, the doctors have suspended non-Covid and non-emergency services from 9 am to 11 am on Thursday. Doctors have also staged a peaceful sit-in at the hospital premises from 9 am to 11 am on Thursday.
The government-formed negotiating team immediately addressed Dr. KC's demand and said that they are confident that Dr. KC's fast will be broken soon.
The association has also decided to boycott non-emergency services if Dr. KC's demand is not met. The government had formed a negotiating team for talks with Dr. KC on Wednesday after widespread protests started saying that the government did not pay attention to Dr. KC's demand.
Talks between the negotiating team formed by Ministry of Education and Dr. KC's negotiating team have started at Ministry of Education on Thursday.
