Ministry of Health and Population has stated that there is a shortage of beds in the hospitals as number of corona infections is increasing in the Valley.
At a regular press conference held on Wednesday, spokesperson of the Ministry, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, informed that there are additional challenges in managing the infected people in Kathmandu.
Spokesperson Gautam also said that hospitals in the valley could not bear the burden as the infection rate was increasing at the same level. Spokesperson Gautam said that both government and private hospitals need to treat the infected.
Spokesperson Gautam urged people to be vigilant saying that infection seemed to have been ignored when they saw the crowd in the market as the festival was approaching recently.
Spokesperson Gautam said that infection rate was increasing due to non-compliance of public health standards and stressed on the need to proceed with vigilance.
