Education Secretary Gopinath Mainali has called on Dr. Govinda KC to call off the strike demanding various six-point reforms in the medical education sector.
A team of Education Secretary reached Teaching Hospital on Tuesday to get information about the health condition of Ansanrat KC.
Secretary Mainali said, he met Dr. KC and asked him to break satyagraha as all the demands were justified and there was no suitable time to fulfill them.
Dr. KC had requested the government representative to send a negotiating team for a formal agreement. According to Dr. KC's aide Pritam Subedi, Dr. KC had told Secretary Mainali that he would break the fast as soon as the government team arrived.
Dr. KC’s his health condition is deteriorating who started his fast in Jumla on September 14 last Bhadra. Dr.KC suffers from chest pain and dizziness and his immune system is weakening.
