A group of senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has filed a protest letter at the party office demanding to create an environment conducive to clean and fair environment for the upcoming general convention.
On Monday, a team led by Poudel's party leader Navindra Raj Joshi registered a letter and handed it over to Krishna Prasad Poudel, chief secretary of party headquarters Sanepa.
Leader Joshi said that a protest letter has been registered on the issues of certainty, certainty of General Convention, formation of departments, election of fraternities and active membership.
According to Joshi, e party has demanded the immediate repeal of party's unconstitutional actions and decisions after the local level adjustment process and schedule of party's general convention were made public.
In the protest letter, it has been demanded that the public relations committees abroad should be represented in the general convention only by holding a convention as per the decision of Central Working Committee. Leader Poudel, General Secretary Shashank Koirala, Treasurer Sita Devi Yadav 27 central members have signed the letter.
