‘Mahanayak’ Rajesh Hamal provides financial relief to 113 Film technicians

Actor Rajesh Hamal, who got the title of 'Mahanayak' from the Nepal Film Technician Association, has provided financial assistance to film technicians who have lost their livelihood due to coronavirus.

He handed over financial assistance at the rate of Rs 5,000 per person to 113 technicians at Vijay Smarak Vidyalaya in Dilli Bazaar on Saturday.

Actor Rajesh Hamal has provided financial assistance to the technician in collaboration with various people. President of the Technical Association Pushkar Lama informed that Rajesh Hamal had provided Rs. 565,000 to 113 technicians.

The technicians said that the help received from actor Hamal was a great relief in case he had difficulty in making a living due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Actor Hamal said that the technicians have been greatly affected by the unusual situation created due to Coronavirus pandemic.

Explaining the technicians as the backbone of Nepali film, he said, "They are seen behind the scenes. We make a name for ourselves by appearing in front of the screen. But, no one sees the manpower behind them.

He said he could not help the technicians as much as he wanted because the situation was not favorable due to the pandemic. He is confident that even if this support is not great, it will be easier for them for a few days.

This is his small effort and he is committed to helping the technicians in case the situation created by the pandemic does not get back to normal.
