After about five and half month, a limited number of international flights are being operated in Nepal from today.
Regular international flights were suspended after the government applied lockdown from March 24 last year to prevent and control the spread of the virus.
But there were supplies and rescue flights needed to control and treat the corona. But from today, there will be regular international flights from PCR-tested countries following health standards.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, regular international flights have been started from today with 60 daily and 60 regular and 27 charter flights in a period of 800 passengers daily.
The flight will be made by making different protocols on the time between each flight, passenger traffic and other issues. For this, the International Civil Aviation Organization, World Health Organization and NEA will follow their own guidelines.
Only passengers with a negative PCR report within 72 hours of taking off will be allowed to fly. Arrangement has been made for the concerned airlines to provide boarding pass only after ensuring PCR test time.
