Health Environment and Climate Action Foundation (HECAF) has donated 20 ventilators and other health supplies to Ministry of Health and Population.
On Thursday, HECAF donated 20 life-saving bipap ventilators, PPEs, gloves, gowns, maxis and thermometers. Chairman and Executive Director of HECAF, Mahesh Nakarmi, informed that Ministry of Health has provided health items worth Rs. 9.5 million.
Organization had also provided materials worth Rs 12.7 million, including 30 bipapes, on May 6.
Handing over aid materials, chairman of the organization, Nakarmi, said that there would be more risk in Nepal due to lack of resources and equipment if Covid 19 is not under control yet.
Nakarmi expressed the belief that health items provided by the foundation would contribute to the survival of Nepalese.
Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal said that all should be united in the battle of Corona.
Dhakal informed that the management of ventilator and other materials has also been intensified by the government.
The organization has also provided rations to 200 poor, destitute, chronically ill and disabled families in the first phase of the lockdown.
