Government takes concessional loans of Rs. 27.38 billion

Government has formed a study task force to take concessional loans of Rs 27.38 billion from various donor agencies.

This information was given by government spokesperson Pradip Gyawali at a press conference held at Singha Durbar on Monday to make decision public of the cabinet.

The Council of Ministers has decided to accept additional financial and technical assistance of Rs 3.52 billion provided by the British Government for the health sector.

Similarly, government has decided to accept 14.59 million and 1.75 billion in grant aid for various projects from the World Environment Facility (GEEF) to be received from the World Fund for Nature (WWF) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and implemented by Ministry of Forests, said government spokesperson Gyawali.

The meeting decided to insure the divers of the Armed Police Force to tune of Rs 1 million and to provide incentive allowance at the rate of Rs 300 per day, said spokesperson Gyawali.

Similarly, it has been decided to appoint Dr. Deepak Kumar Bhandari as the executive director of the Agriculture Research Council, Narc.

At the press conference, spokesperson Gyawali said that the risk of corona in Nepal is not yet predictable. Gyawali said government has opened up many areas not because of the risk of corona but because of the need for a balance between life and livelihood.

Spokesperson Gyawali said that homeowners and some industrial establishments in Kathmandu have forced public to submit PCR reports and urged them not to do so.
