Minister for Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal has said that government is fully committed to create a dignified working environment including protection and encouragement of health workers.
Wishing good luck on the occasion of World Patient Safety Day, Minister Dhakal said that government was committed to protect citizens from the Corona epidemic and to protect and encourage health workers working day and night in the treatment regardless of their lives.
Minister Dhakal thanked people and civil society for raising their voice for the safety and dignity of the health workers and urged them to create a more safe and dignified environment.
Minister Dhakal also called for adhering to prescribed standards and procedures for the prevention and control of infections to be adopted within health institution and in the community for the safety of sick, health workers and public.
This year's slogan for this day, which is celebrated every September 17, is 'Safe Health Workers, Safe Sick'.
