Four sub-committees formed to solve the problems of the economic sector

Finance Committee under the House of Representatives has formed four different sub-committees to solve the problems of revenue leakage, expenditure of public enterprises, banks and financial institutions.

A meeting of committee held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday formed a sub-committee to study the problems of revenue leakage, revenue billing and revenue administration, public expenditure, procurement, investment and problems in project management of national pride.

Similarly, a problem study sub-committee of banks and financial institutions and a problem study sub-committee of public institutions have been formed, said Krishna Prasad Dahal, chairman of the committee.

Chairman Dahal said that members of the sub-committee will be appointed later.

Chairman Dahal said that the sub-committee has been given a mandate to find solutions to the problems in the area.

Chairman Dahal said that the sub-committee will study the current revenue policy of Nepal and suggest necessary policy reforms, identify the problems seen in public procurement management and make suggestions for necessary policy reforms.

Similarly, committee has given responsibility to the sub-committee to study various aspects including selection criteria of national pride and large representative projects, security of investment or resources, management, reasons for not completing various projects on time and action against those who do not fulfill their responsibilities.
