Emphasis on the need to build dedicated hospital: Physician

Doctors at various hospitals have said that dedicated hospitals should be set aside for corona treatment.

At a meeting of the sub-committee under Education and Health Committee held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday, doctors said that a dedicated hospital should be set up as treating patients with corona and other diseases in one place would increase the risk.

During the discussion, Kathmandu Medical College doctor Janish Acharya informed that hospital has made separate arrangements for corona treatment. Doctor, Janish Acharya informed that red zone and green zone have been created in the hospital.

Similarly, Prf. Dr Rohit Pokharel, doctor at the teaching hospital, said that the treatment of corona patients was initially seen as some problems but now the treatment has been arranged easily.

Prf. Dr Rohit Pokharel said that he is now more comfortable as he has been examined and treated at a private hospital.

Similarly, Dr. Chakraraj Pandey of Grande Hospital said that plasma therapy should be set up in Nepal as plasma therapy is effective in Nepal and the government should help in this.

Other doctors participating in the meeting stressed on the need to build a dedicated hospital for corona treatment rather than fixing the percentage of beds in private hospitals.
