Public health experts say that if districts with more than 500 infected patients of Covid-19 are controlled, it will not spread to other districts.

At a regular press conference held at the Ministry of Health and Population, Public Health Specialist Dr. Suresh Tiwari said that the infection has reached the community level in 12 districts.

According to the ministry, more than 500 people have been infected in Morang, Sunsari, Bara, Mahottari, Dhanusha, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Parsa, Chitwan, Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Rupandehi districts. 1,069 people have been infected yesterday. So far, 40,529 people have been infected.

"Those 12 districts have become hotspots for the transition. We have estimated that the transition has reached the community level," he said.

According to public health expert Dr Tiwari, the average infection is increasing by 22 to 24 percent. According to him, the statistics show that the number of infected people is increasing to 8 to 9 percent of those tested.
