Chandragiri cablecar resumed operation

Chandragiri cable car, which has been closed since lockdown due to Corana, has resumed operations on Thursday.

Cable car, which has been closed since April 25 due to long-term shutdown and restraining order, has been brought into operation from Thursday following the adoption of health standards.

According to Chandragiri Hills, all necessary preparations have already been made for the operation of the cable car and all necessary health standards and other arrangements have been made.

General Manager of Chandragiri Hills, Abhishek Bikram Shah, said that company was preparing to operate the cable car and resort in compliance with all health care standards set by World Health Organization (WHO) and Ministry of Health and Population.

In order to maintain social distance of the passengers, round-the-clock fencing, masks, sanitizers and gloves have been made mandatory at the entrance and service has been started by keeping only half of the passengers in each cable car, said Shah.

Chandragiri in Kathmandu has succeeded in becoming a new tourist destination, connecting religious and historical things.
