Cabinet Meeting at 11, Khatiwada to Resign making way for Bamdev Gautam

The cabinet meeting is scheduled to be held at 11 a.m. at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar.

According to cabinet sources, Finance and Communications and Information Technology Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada will submit his resignation to the Prime Minister in today's meeting.

Khatiwada's National Assembly membership ends tomorrow (Saturday). Khatiwada is about to submit his resignation to the Prime Minister today as his time in the National Assembly will not be extended.

A meeting of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) held yesterday had decided not to take Khatiwada back to the National Assembly. The secretariat has decided to replace Khatiwada with CPN (Maoist) secretariat member Bamdev Gautam.
