A patient undergoing treatment at Madhyabindu District Hospital, Danda, Nawalparasi (east of Bardaghat-Sustapura) has stopped non-essential services after a corona infection was confirmed in a patient.
A 40-year-old man from Kawasoti Municipality-16, who had come to the hospital for treatment on Bhadra 2, was found to be infected with corona on Bhadra 5.
According to the medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Sunil Raj Gautam, the man was sent to the isolation ward of the hospital for treatment after the infection was confirmed.
"Doctors, health workers and other staff who come in contact with infected patients need to be tested for CVD-19 and even the hospital has to be cleaned," he said.
Stating that the swabs of the employees who come in contact with the patients will be collected and tested on Bhadra 8, Dr. Gautam informed that all the services except the essential ones being provided by the hospital will remain closed till the report is received.
Chief of the Health Office, Nawalpur, Keshav Chapagain said that out of 384 cases of corona infection confirmed in the district so far, 330 have returned home after treatment.
According to him, there are 96 people in different quarantines and 54 in isolation in the district at present according to RSS.
