Sandip Lamichhane takes a wicket in first game this season of CPL - His team Tallawah wins

Jamaica's Tallawah has made a winning start in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Jamaica's Tallawah defeated St. Lucia by 5 wickets in last night's match while chasing St. Lucia's target of 159, Jamaica lost five wickets in 18.5 overs.

Asif Ali scored an unbeaten 47 off 17 balls for Jamaica. Glenn Phillips scored 44 runs. Captain Robin Powell scored 26, Andre Russell 16 and Carlos Braithwaite 18 runs.

St. Lucia, who had earlier lost the toss and opted to bat first, lost seven wickets in 20 overs and scored 158 runs. For St. Lucia, Roston Chase top-scored with 52, followed by Najibullah Zadran (25) and Andre Fletcher (22).

Jamaican bowlers Verasami Permaul and Mujib Ur Rehman took 2-2 wickets while Sandeep Lamichhane and Andre Russell took 1-1 wicket. Nepali spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has taken one wicket in the first game of the season.

Playing from Tallawah, Jamaica this season, Sandeep has taken one wicket in the game against St. Lucia. 

St. Lucia's Najibullah, who was playing with 25 runs, was dismissed. Sandeep bowled four overs and took one wicket for 23 runs.
