Rescue flights from Abroad Suspended

The government has  cancelled flights to rescue workers. The Covid-19 Crisis Management Operations Center (CCMC) has written to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to suspend international rescue flights.

Based on that, the government has suspended the chartered flights. Last Monday's cabinet meeting decided to rescue a total of 500 people daily, 300 on the recommendation of embassies and another 200 at the expense of the Foreign Employment Welfare Fund.
