In 12 Districts, Local Administrations Use Their Right to Impose Restraining Orders

 

The local administration has issued restraining orders in 12 districts by Tuesday evening to prevent the spread of Corona infection from spreading.

Till Tuesday evening the district administration offices have issued restraining orders in 12 districts after the government gave the local administration the right to make necessary decisions based on the speed and condition of the transmission.

Home Ministry spokesman Chakra Bahadur Budha said a restraining order had been issued in 12 districts by Tuesday evening.

According to him, a complete ban has been imposed throughout the districts in some districts while in some districts, the ban has been imposed only at the local level and wards.The curfew has been issued in 12 districts till Tuesday evening.

According to Home Ministry Joint Spokesperson Umakanta Adhikari, the ban has been issued in Saptari, Banke, Bara and Parsa districts, while in Dhanusha, Morang, Mahottari, Jhapa, Sunsari, Bajhang, Nuwakot and Darchula, the ban has been imposed only in some local level wards.

"As of Tuesday, the ban has been imposed throughout Saptari, Banke, Bara and Parsa districts, while in Dhanusha, Morang, Mahottari, Jhapa, Sunsari, Bajhang, Nuwakot and Darchula it has been enforced partially.

According to him, the Chief District Officer has been given the right to decide whether to issue a restraining order or not.

Stating that the pace of infection may spread, other districts have also activated the local administration to control the activities taking place in the district. Similarly, the local administration has been keeping a close watch on the border areas connected to the Indian side.

By Tuesday evening, the total number of infected people in the country has reached 21,009. Of them, 58 have died and 15,020 have recovered after treatment. On Tuesday alone, another 259 people were confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus (Covid-19).
