Resolving internal disputes and quarrels within the party through mutual understanding

Members of the Standing Committee of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) have stressed on the need to resolve internal disputes and quarrels within the party through mutual understanding.

Members said that there was no alternative for the leaders to reach a consensus to preserve the party unity. Speaking in an interview organized by Reporters Club Nepal on Monday, senior Communist Forum chairman and CPN (Maoist) standing committee member N.S.K.Prasai said it was time for leaders to exercise discretion.

Prasai said that the leaders had demanded his resignation due to Prime Minister Oli's statement that India was trying to remove him on Madan Jayanti and that the CPN (Maoist) leaders were participating in the game. Prasai said that the protection of national independence should be the primary issue of the party and the government now.

Similarly, CPN (Maoist) Standing Committee Member Ganesh Sah said that it was necessary to go for 'one person, one post' to solve the current problem. Stating that there is interest and concern in the entire country and the people about the internal disputes within the party, Sah said that the leaders are trying to resolve the disputes.

Sah also clarified that one has to go for 'one person, one post' to resolve disputes within the CPN (Maoist). Sah said that the central committee meeting should be convened in the last week of July or the first week of August.
