Oli and Prachanda’s Wednesday Talk Ends Without Conclusion

Talks between PM Oli and NCP co-chair Prachanda on Wednesday have ended without a conclusion. The meeting was held for about an hour and a half, on Wednesday at the prime minister's residence.

Prachanda’s press coordinator, Bishnu Sapkota said that there was no progress in the duo’s meeting and they had decided to meet again on Thursday. During the meetings on Monday and Tuesday both the leaders had put forward their views on the situation that has led to mistrust and also speculations of party breakup.

Oli wants to maintain both the posts of PM and party co-chair by allowing solo executive rights to the other co-chair Prachanda. However, Prachanda has demanded that Oli quit one of the two positions and protects the party’s unity and find a solution to the current crisis.

The meeting held on Wednesday to discuss and find a solution has been called for 11 am on Friday.
